By downloading, installing, or using the FinCan application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the App.

2. Disclaimer of Financial Advice

The App is a budgeting and financial tracking tool intended for personal use and informational purposes only.

  • Not Professional Advice: FinCan is not a registered financial advisor, tax professional, or legal counsel.
  • No Guarantee: We do not guarantee the accuracy of any calculations, insights, or projections generated by the App. You should always verify your financial information against official statements from your financial institutions.

3. User Responsibilities

When using the App, you are responsible for:

  • Accuracy of Input: Ensuring that the balances, transactions, and goals you enter are accurate. The App's output is only as good as the data you provide.
  • Data Security: Securing your device. Since all data is stored locally, anyone with access to your unlocked device may be able to view your financial information.
  • Data Backup: Regularly exporting your data via the CSV export function if you wish to maintain backups. We are not responsible for lost data due to app deletion, device failure, or software bugs.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FinCan and its developers shall not be liable for:

  • Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App.
  • Financial losses, penalties, or damages incurred due to reliance on information provided by the App.
  • Loss of data due to technical issues, device loss, or app deletion.

5. Changes to the App and Terms

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the App at any time without notice.
  • Update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
