This Privacy Policy describes how FinCan ("we," "our," or "the App") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy effectively by ensuring that your financial data remains entirely in your control.

1. No Data Collection

We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal or financial information on our servers.

FinCan is designed as an offline-first application. All data you enter into the app—including accounts, balances, budgets, net worth, and goals—is stored locally on your device in a secure SQLite database.

2. Local Storage

  • Personal Data: Your user profile is stored only on your device.
  • Financial Data: Your transaction history and goals are stored only on your device.
  • No Cloud Sync: We do not offer cloud synchronization. If you uninstall the app or clear your device data, your information will be permanently deleted.

3. No Third-Party Access

Since we do not collect your data, we cannot share it with third parties.

  • No Bank Connections: The App does not connect to your bank accounts. You do not enter banking passwords or security questions into this App.
  • No Analytics: We do not use third-party analytics services to track your usage behavior or financial inputs.

4. Your Rights

  • Access: You have full access to all data stored by the App directly through the user interface.
  • Export: You can export your data at any time via CSV from the Settings.
  • Deletion: You can delete all your data at any time by simply uninstalling the App or modifying the app data.

5. Security

Your data is stored within your device's application sandbox. While this provides a layer of security provided by your operating system (iOS or Android), we recommend:

  • Using a secure device passcode, FaceID, or Fingerprint lock on your phone.
  • Not leaving your device unlocked in public areas.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
